True colors

Shello turtles. Not too much in a happy mood this week, so I apologize for the depressing post. I cut someone out of my life, and well, I'm not taking it too well. I know that it was for the best, but they were in my life for 2 years. How can someone like that change so much? I should hate them, but I can't. I have some regrets, but they changed into something I can't fix. Sometimes, people will show their true colors to you, and you have to make the complicated decision of whether you handle it or not. So, this is my advice for you: It's perfectly okay to let go of toxic people in your life for the sake of your well-being and happiness. Toxic individuals can drain your energy, create unnecessary stress, and hinder your personal growth. When you surround yourself with negativity, it becomes challenging to maintain a positive mindset and pursue your goals. Letting go of toxic people allows you to create space for positive relationships and opportunities that contribute ...

Halloween Makeup

Image
Shello turtles! Hey there! I hope your week is fantastic! Something exciting happened to me—I wore makeup for the first-time last week! It felt amazing, especially because I usually have to wear a mask for my job. The full mask was causing a weird rash on my face, which never happened last year. I guess it's because I haven't taken a break from wearing it at all. Last year, I didn't work as many days, so I think my skin is not happy with me working so much now. But the best part is, I can now express so much more of my personality! People can see me smiling and even laugh at them, which is so liberating! Shoutout to Birdy, my makeup artist—he's doing a fantastic job! He's still getting the hang of doll makeup, but I think he nailed it. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next! So, if you can, come visit me while I'm working, I promise I won't scare you too hard...or maybe I will. It just depends on the day because Saturdays are very busy. I just hop...

It's Friday the 13th!

Shello turtles! It's Friday the 13th! How many of your guys are superstitious? I will say I am. Although, I have been raised that way. I also believe in urban legends. My parents would always threaten me with La Llorona (aka the weeping woman) every time I would throw a fit. That would actually work on me because I have heard stories from my uncle about her. The one that stuck to me was when he heard her cries as a child, and even caught a glimpse of her ghostly figure. So, I decided to go ahead and tell you the story of the weeping woman. Keep in mind, there are multiple versions of this story, so I'll just tell you it the way I heard it. A long time ago, in a Mexican village, there lived a beautiful woman named Maria. She was known throughout the region for her beauty, charm, and grace. One day, she caught the eye of a wealthy nobleman, and the two quickly fell in love. Soon they were married and had two children, whom Maria adored. However, as time passed, her husband beca...

Working at a Haunted House

Shello turtles! I hope you guys are having a great start to spooky season! So far, working hasn't been too busy, although I may change my mind toward the end of the month. Working in a haunted house is really fun, but I feel like people don't understand that it is an actual job that tests our physical and mental ability. It's really fun, but it's also hard to actually pace yourself so you won't wear yourself out by the middle of your shift. It also takes a lot of strength to not start anything with rude customers. Our mentality is that it's a win-lose situation. You win as a worker because you are still getting paid, and the customer loses because they had a bad time and they basically paid you. I think the thing I dread most is the long hours on Saturdays. Ticket sales end at 11 p.m. but sometimes, if we're lucky, we'll be getting out at 12 a.m. because the line could be backed up. It's honestly a pain because no matter how many groups they send in...
